Notify the Manager for assistance.It may be necessary to walk the lounge area and call the party’s namewith a loud, clear voice; all the while offering a smile. And carrying thechalk board with the guests name on it. At the <strong>Wurst</strong> <strong>Haus</strong> German Deli& Restaurant we do not page, we use personal descriptions to identify aspecific party and person.Be certain the customer has closed out their bar tab, prior to escortingthem to their table. If they wish to transfer their tab to the table, we willbe happy to do so.Be aware of all current and upcoming in-house promotions. YourManagement team will remind you of current promotions and informyou of upcoming promotions during the daily pre-shift meetings.Advertising brings the product to the consumer; promotion brings theguest to the product. We have found that our sales volume increaseswhen special promotions occur. We expect all staff to promote allactivities with enthusiasm. Our biggest return should be from word-ofmouththrough our staff.An example of an in-house promotion would be our Mother’s DayLuncheon. As a <strong>Host</strong>/<strong>Host</strong>ess you may recognize a regular dinnercustomer and inquire if they have ever visited the <strong>Wurst</strong> <strong>Haus</strong> GermanDeli & Restaurant on Mother’s Day when food and beverage discountsare featured. When that guest leaves after dinner, thank them by nameand invite them to return on another occasion. You have justsuccessfully completed the "Sell to Sell Again" creed of our Restaurant.You enrolled a customer into an activity that day, and encouraged themto participate in an upcoming promotional activity.
