Patients whoare unable to go to the Reading Corner will have thebooks delivered to them by the Customer Service staff.Although there is no obligation to return these books,readers are encouraged to do so for the benefit of otherpatients and staff. The hospital welcomes donation ofbooks to expand its collection.caring from the heartPHI, in collaboration with Hospital Batu Gajah (HBG) andCancerlink society, organised a special ‘Season’s Wish’Christmas event for 70 child patients and their parents on11 December 2012.The children momentarily put aside their illnessesas they had fun with PHI staff through a host ofactivities from games, balloon sculpting and a clownperformance to an educational session on healthy foodclassifications by a dietitian.Anwar Anis, Chief Executive Officer of PHI, was happy toshare the festive joy with the young ones.“This activity is one of the many corporate socialresponsibility initiatives organised by the Pantai Hospitalsas we strive to be a responsible healthcare provider to ourcommunities,” he said.Other highlights included the appearance of Santa Clausand a sumptuous tea party which closed the event on ahigh note.32 En Route
