A technical specification sheet generally includes:• The type of programming language used• Where the website is hosted (on your own server, a local server or aninternational server)• What the domain (web address) of the website will be (for example, www.mycompany.co.za)• What kind of content management system is used (the program throughwhich content on your page is added, changed and updated – also referred toas the “back end” of a site)• What security, if any, is implemented• What behind-the-scenes functionality your website has (for example, howyour online forms are coded)These topics are dealt with in section 5 of this chapter.Programming languagesThere is no need to be intimidated by the complex-looking jargon aroundprogramming languages.
