The plant provides steam, hot water, chilled waterand chiller condenser water to Toronto Pearson InternationalAirport and includes four 29,545 kg/hr steam boilers operatingat 860 kPa saturated steam, high temperature steam to waterheat exchangers producing 130°C hot water, and four 1500 TRchillers, for supplying chilled water and hot water to the airportterminals. The commissioning services included:Static Verification: A documented pre start inspectionprogram of the equipment includingdata acquisition, equipment condition assessment, audit ofcontractor pre start procedures and documentation.Performance Validation: Performance testing of individualequipment, automatic control system verification, operationof the systems under manual control, diagnosis of operatingproblems and recommendations for system modifications.Operator Training: Detailed systems training of the boiler plantoperators, and maintenance crews.Systems Operating Manuals: Produced for general designintent, design conditions, automatic control systems, manualoperating conditions, operating notes describing upsetconditions.ADP PHASE 1, UPGRADE RUNWAY15L-33RToronto Pearson International AirportGreater Toronto Airports AuthorityToronto OntarioThis 1999 contract administration assignment for the GreaterToronto Airports Authority, was performed at the same timeas the Dual Taxiways, Stage IX contract at Toronto PearsonInternational Airport. During a three month closure of thisnorth south runway for an adjacent contract (construction ofa tunnel to access the infield), this Upgrade Runway contractwas undertaken. It involved the rehabilitation of the asphaltsurface, construction of a new 15L Glide Path and RVR Sensor,resurfacing of various connecting taxiways, repairs to drainagemanholes, and numerous electrical installations. In particular,inset lighting was installed virtually throughout the entire lengthof the runway.
