Theassignment consisted of the completion of Delta Taxiway sothat it was totally open from W through to DV, the extension ofTaxiway ‘A’ to beyond new ‘AZ’, the reconstruction of ‘B’ in thevicinity of ‘B3’ including a connection to new ‘T’, and variousareas where the existing apron was expanded. It also includedthe construction of a new jet fuel pipeline through a majorityof the working area. Construction took place around the clockunder the severe operational restrictions in place at the airport.The work included grading, drainage, granular base, paving andan extensive amount of electrical installations. Cooperation withthe adjacent Upgrade Runway 15L 33R contract was required.APRON EXPANSIONJohn C. The reconstruction of Alpha Taxiwaywas included as part of the design and construction package.
