34 ENGINE OPERATION64. Warming up the engineWarm the engine at low enginespeeds for about three minutes. Thisallows the lubricating oil to circulate toall parts of the engine. Operating theengine without warm up shortens theengine's life.Be sure to check that cooling water iscoming out of the cooling water checkport during warm up.!
