Life Purpose - CommentaryHello my special VIP and welcome to the commentary for this month’s VIP topic ‘LifePurpose.’Now in the video I talked about this general topic of life purpose and the differencebetween a purpose and goals. Obviously, a purpose is much bigger. A purpose mightcontain lots and lots of goals, but a purpose is really something that gives somemeaning to your life and it’s important to find your own purpose because, as you know,society, our culture, media, parents, all of these things are constantly trying to tell uswhat we should do and how we should live.Most people are living a life that they really did not think carefully about and choosethemselves. They did not really do the hard work of thinking about it for quite a whileand finding that which gives the most happiness and passion. That’s how you knowyou’ve found your life purpose. That every day you feel this feeling of happiness andpassion and you want to share it, but unfortunately, most people just accept whatthey’re told.They may be living the life or the purpose that their parents pushed onto them. I’m notsaying the parents were bad or anything like that. It’s just that, you know, parents do thissometimes. They push their children to be something, but maybe that’s not the bestthing for the child and some of us, as we become adults, we’re still trying to do what ourparents pushed us to do, but we don’t really feel passion and happiness doing it. So wehave not found our purpose, if that’s the case.Other people will take a purpose from society, from some authority figure, perhaps areligious figure, a priest or something like that, that tells them this is the purpose of life.This is the meaning of life and this is what you must do, but once again, that’ssomebody else’s purpose and even if you are very religious, you are an expert. You area human.No priest, no religious person in authority, knows anything more about your own spirit orif you choose to use the word God or whatever you want to call it, nobody else knowsbetter than you do. You are equally human and so listening to these people tell you whatyour purpose should be, is likely to make you very unhappy and to cause you to makeother people unhappy too.Some people just blindly follow what they are taught in the media and movies and ourgeneral cultures, almost everywhere now, which is that it’s all about money and statusand what other people think of you. And so many people are chasing more and moremoney and a better and better job, bigger and bigger house, more and more expensivewww.EffortlessEnglishClub.com
