Number one, what gives you the most happiness and pleasure in your life? What do youjust love the most, enjoy the most? Make a long list.Number two, what in your life do you just really hate? You hate doing it. You’re still doingit, but you just hate it. It’s so boring or painful or terrible. What are those things? Make alist. Write them out.You could even make a third list. What’s mediocre in your life? It’s not great. It’s not bad.It’s just kind of boring. Make a list of those things and then look for patterns and thenjust decide that your first step is to go after the things that make you feel great. You’regoing to get more of that in your life somehow. That’s your first purpose and you’regoing to eliminate these bad and boring things as much as possible.Once you do that then you can ask yourself the question, how can I help other peopledo the same thing that I just did? How can I help other people who are like me, who alsowant these things in their life, who also love these things and who also hate thesethings?You don’t need to help every single person in the world. You don’t have to go and helppoor people in India if you don’t want to. We all have a different purpose. There areplenty of people in the world who need help. You can find the people like yourself andhelp them and encourage them as well, so it’s not just you alone on this journey, you’reactually helping and encouraging other people as well.
