daily routine, your daily activities, day-to-day, week to week and if you watched thevideo you already made a list of the things you love that give you passion andhappiness and the things that you hate. Well now what I want you to do is actually havea calendar and write down your typical day.Okay, I get up in the morning, I do this and then I eat this and then I talk to this personand then I drive to this job and then I do whatever I do at the job and you’re going towrite it all out. And then on the weekends I do something else and you’re going to writeall those things out and then you’re going to examine all of your typical daily activitiesand routines. You’re going to look at all of them. There’s a whole huge calendar for theweek and you’re going to ask yourself a few questions about each one of them. You’re going to look at each activity and you’re going to ask yourself, is this purposeful?Meaning, does this activity give me more happiness, more energy and more passion orat least of them. If yes, you could put like a big P next to it for purposeful. If the answeris no, then next you’re going to ask yourself, well is this activity draining? Does it makeme feel weaker, less happy, bored, stressed? Does it take away my power and energy? If the answer is yes, you’ll put a D for draining. Draining means taking away; pullingaway. If it’s neither one, if you answer no to both, then it’s probably an activity that is mediocre.Meaning it doesn’t make you feel great, it doesn’t make you feel bad, it’s just kind ofneutral. If that’s the case put an M next to the activity for mediocre. So, for example, I don’t know, maybe brushing your teeth in the morning is a mediocreactivity. I don’t feel great when I brush my teeth and I don’t feel bad when I brush myteeth, it’s just sort of neutral. But I don’t know, if you love brushing your teeth, forexample, if you’re a dentist whose purpose is to give people clean, shinny, wonderful, bright teeth so they have incredible smiles, brushing your teeth might be purposeful. So think about it, don’t just do it very quickly. Look at each activity and really think abouthum, does this activity make me feel better or worse and then go through the wholeweek. First of all, one whole day, then the whole next day, a whole week, at least, marking down P for purposeful or D for draining or M for mediocre. Then you’ll have a picture, like a snapshot picture of your life. That’s your life you’relooking at and what I want you to ask yourself and I want you to look at is do you seemostly Ps? Do you see mostly purposeful activities that give you happiness, energy andpassion or do you see mostly Ds, draining activities, which make you feel stressed, unhappy, weaker, more tired and more bored?www.EffortlessEnglishClub.com
