Vignette typesEstablishing validityThe yearly vignette for the current year is valid from1 December of the previous year until 31 January ofthe following year (in total 14 months). The half-yearlyvignette is valid for six months from the date of purchase.Half-yearly vignette has to be punched at the shop.It is punched in the spot marking the first day ofvalidity. Vignettes that are not punched are not valid.Please check carefully upon purchase of a vignette thatyour vignette is properly punched.Displaying a vignetteHow to use the vignetteThe use of vignettes is compulsory on all motorways and expressways in theRepublic of Slovenia managed by DARS d.d. for single-track motor vehicles(motorcycles) and for double-track motor vehicles, with or without a trailervehicle, the maximum permissible weight of which does not exceed 3,500 kg.TYPE OF VIGNETTEYearly vignette for (double-track) motor vehicles up to maximumpermissible weight 3,500 kgHalf-yearly vignette for (double-track) motor vehicles up to maximumpermissible weight 3,500 kgA vignette is valid only when it is properly displayed ona vehicle prior to using a toll road. After removing theprotective foil, immediately place an undamaged vignetteon the inner side of the windscreen in such a way that itis clearly visible from the outside. The sticker should notbe placed in a spot where the windscreen is dark, or ona side window of the vehicle.Please carefully read the gluing instructions on the back ofthe vignette, before placing a vignette. Prior to placing anew valid vignette always remove the previously placed orinvalid vignette.A vignette may only be used on one vehicle. Removing analready glued vignette will damage the vignette and cancelits validity. If the driver has:• the windscreen or the part of a motorcycle on which avignette was placed replaced or• the vehicle is deleted from the record of registeredvehicles due to vehicle destruction,the driver may request from the manager of toll roads to:• issue a replacement vignette for the same period or• a refund (a proportional part) of the purchase valueof a substitute vignette if the driver buys a substitutevignette by himself.With a completed request form for issuing a substitutevignette should be enclosed:• the removed vignette.
