Floating-Point NumbersFloating-point numbers are listed in a separate list. Afloating-point number is put on this list either as it is readin or as it is generated within a calculation. Neither thislist nor the list of atomic symbols has any duplications. Anassociation list is created for a floating-point number whenthe number is put on the list of numbers.The association list for floating-point numbers containsthe indicators NUMB and FLO (for floating-point), but the indicatorPNAME is not put on the list until a request for printingthe number is encountered. Only positive numerical valuesare put on the association listsfor floating-point numbers; ifa number is negative the association list for the number ispreceded by the indicator MINUS, and the entry in the list offloating-point numbers points to the MINUS indicator. Thus wehaveJust as a matter of interest we give below the associationlists for atom and for the constant 1, just as they are representedin the 704. We use the bar notation, add, to represent
