Element 8 Making the MatchA consistent matching process that links the young person with the most appropriate mentor.Benchmark Guidance ChecklistaThe matching process focuses on the needs ofthe young person and considers:- the relevant characteristics, skills andinterests of the mentor- the relevant characteristics, skills andinterests of the young person.• Tailor matching criteria to prioritise the youngperson.
