PIRLS 2006 EncyclopediaThe PIRLS 2006 Encyclopedia was reviewed on behalf of the IEA Publications andEditorial Committee by Drs. David F. Robitaille (Chair) and Robert A. Garden, whoprovided many valuable corrections and suggestions.Projects the size of PIRLS are not possible without considerable financial supportand I would like to thank IEA’s major funding partners, which include the US NationalCenter for Educational Statistics, the World Bank, and those countries that contributedby way of fees.
