57COLLEGE RULES AND PROCEDURESThe main college expectation for students <strong>of</strong> the college is to “smile andask questions.” Being positive and inquiring when uncertain is a formula forsuccess. The college has some set guidelines for students to ensure the safety,wellbeing, and positive environment for all. The code <strong>of</strong> conduct addresses suchexpectations. Each student has the responsibility to learn and commit to abidingby the following to the best <strong>of</strong> his or her ability as long as he/she is enrolled.STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCTI, ........................................................................................................................................................... , asa responsible student <strong>of</strong> Madinat Zayed and Ruwais <strong>College</strong>s hereby agree t<strong>of</strong>ollow the code <strong>of</strong> conduct while I am studying at the college. I understand thatin college, on the buses and when in the community I am a representative <strong>of</strong> thecollege and must be an example <strong>of</strong> the college’s high standards. I am aware thatin addition to this code <strong>of</strong> conduct, there are attendance guidelines, bus rules,and food/eating expectations with further details available for my benefit.STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICESAs per the code <strong>of</strong> conduct, I agree that I will:1. SUPPORT LEARNING: To support learning I will:a. Respect the learning my fellow students: Never disturb another class orclassmate when they are learningb. Maintain quiet atmosphere at all times: Always have my mobile phone on silentand not use it or during classc. Positively engage in my lessons: Only work on my laptop when it is required bymy teacherd. Seek appropriate support: Raise any concerns I have with my teachers orstudent representatives before taking matters up with managemente. Be punctual: Attend every class on my timetable and arrive on time for eachlessonf. Be honest: Never engage in cheating, copying another’s work, or academicdishonesty2. BE A GOOD EXAMPLE: To be a good example I will:a. Use the internet responsibly: Never visit inappropriate sites or chat rooms onmy laptopb. Be tidy: Always leave my classroom or workplace how I would like to find itc. Respect college property: Take special care <strong>of</strong> all college equipment andproperty, including laptopsd. Be a positive role model: Behave well in class, concentrate and stay in classwhen I am supposed to, act in a grown-up way in the corridors, make use <strong>of</strong> thelibrary and other learning arease. Represent myself and the college positively: Portray a positive image <strong>of</strong> myselfas a student and the college to all those I meet outside. Represent the collegeto the best <strong>of</strong> my ability when outside the college.
