) Physical threat of violence to another student or other person. A physical threat occurs when a student attempts to commitphysical harm or injury to the person of another; commits an act which places another in reasonable apprehension ofimmediately receiving a physical injury, or behaves in such a way as could reasonably cause physical injury to any person.Consequences: Depending on the severity of the incident, the consequences may range from administrative conference to10 days ISS/OSS and/or request for tribunal.Threat Assessment is required if tribunal is requested.c) Verbal or written threat of violence to School Personnel or School Official. This includes vandalism or attempts to vandalize as well as setting fire or attempting toset fire to property.Consequences: Depending on the severity of the incident, the consequences may range from Administrative Conference to10 days ISS/OSS and/or request for tribunal.b) Destruction/Vandalism/Theft to school property. **NEW**No student shall attempt to, threaten to, or actually damage,vandalize or steal school property. No student shall possess stolen private property or school property onschool grounds.Consequences: Depending on the severity of the incident, the consequences may range from Administrative Conference to10 days ISS/OSS and/or request for tribunal.18) SEXUAL OFFENSES:Sexual offenses are prohibited against members of the same sex as well as members of the opposite sex. If the behavior is an offenseunder Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 16-6-1 through 16-6-25), contact appropriate superintendent, district attorney and law enforcement.No student shall commit any act of verbal, written, gesture-oriented, or physical sexual misconduct on school property,school buses, at school-sponsored events, or while using school technology resources.a) Inappropriate <strong>Public</strong> Displays of AffectionConsequences: 1-5 days ISS, referral to counselor, and parent conference.b) Sexual Misconduct:• No student shall consent to and participate in any form of sexual activity.• No student shall expose one’s intimate body parts or “moon” in public. Intimate body parts include the primarygenital area, anus, groin, inner thighs, or buttocks of a male or female and the breasts of a female.Consequences: Depending on the severity of the incident and the contact of appropriate agencies of authority, theconsequences may range from Administrative Conference with all parties and parents/guardians to 10 daysISS/OSS and/or request for tribunal.c) Sexual Harassment: Verbal, written, visual or physical conduct of a sexual nature (including, but not limited to, unwelcomesexual advances or gestures; requests for sexual favors; sexually offensive slurs; electronic messages such as emails, textmessages or “sexting”; sexually offensive drawings or posters directed towards another person) where there is a pattern ofharassing behavior or a single significant incident.Consequences: Depending on the severity of the incident and the contact of appropriate agencies of authority, theconsequences may range from Administrative Conference to 10 days ISS/OSS and/or request for tribunal.d) Sexual Battery: Sexual battery is defined as a student intentionally making physical contact with the intimate parts of thebody of another person without the consent of that person. Intimate body parts include the primary genital area, anus,groin, inner thighs, or buttocks of a male or female and the breasts of a female.Consequences: Depending on the severity of the incident and the contact of appropriate agencies of authority, theconsequences may range from 1-10 days OSS and/or request for tribunal.e) Sexual Molestation: Sexual molestation is defined as a student doing any immoral or indecent act to or in the presence ofanother person, without that person's consent, with the intent to arouse or satisfy the sexual desires of either the studentor the other person. This includes a student forcing another person to make physical contact with the student’s intimatebody parts, as defined in this Section.Consequences: 1-10 days OSS and/or request for tribunal and contact of appropriate agencies of authority.19) TEcHNOLOGy OFFENSES:School technology cannot be used for other than school related purposes.a) Unauthorized access or attempted access to school technology. Students will not purposely look for security problemsbecause such action may be considered an unauthorized attempt to gain access to school technology resources.Consequences: Depending on the severity of the incident, the consequences may range from Administrative Conference to10 days ISS/OSS and/or request for tribunal.36
