The reversal rate was 6 percentor higher from 1995 through 2002, but since then it has dropped to less than 4 percent in 2009 <strong>and</strong>2010.Of the remaining cases, the courts affirm about half <strong>of</strong> SSA’s decisions, <strong>and</strong> rem<strong>and</strong> the other half backto the agency. A large percentage <strong>of</strong> cases rem<strong>and</strong>ed are subsequently allowed by SSA.
