Ewals Cargo Care Integrated the
TLNplanner as Standard Route Planner
Ewals Cargo is an incorporated logistical service provider
who offers services on overall scale based on
their move-store-manage concept. With its 3,000
mega trailers, Ewals Cargo is the largest mega fleet
operator on the European market. For several years,
Ewals Cargo Care has also been an important provider
of integrated logistics services all over Europe.
Ewals Cargo has recently decided to integrate the TLNplanner
as a standard route planner into their software
management system. From invoicing to sales related operations,
Ewals Cargo has been able to improve its entire
daily processes in terms of efficiency and profitability.
The integration of the TLNplanner is very useful, not
only for Ewals but also for the cooperation with their
partners, constituents and sub-contractors. They can
benefit from this important improvement because discussions
concerning km-distances have become a
thing of the past. Transportation companies still use
completely different systems. That is why the discussion
about distances is still a big stumbling block, but
with the integration of the TLNplanner the distances
are now equalized and supported by TLN (Transport,
Logistics the Netherlands). The logistical industrial
standard which TLN has defined for distances and cost
calculations is certified by the Royal Dutch Transport
Federation, Febetra, SAV, UPTR, VZV and the Fenex.
To introduce the TLNplanner to the entire Ewals Cargo
Care group, the company has chosen both the
TLNplanner server version and the online version
which is available on the Web. By subscribing to this
version, Ewals Cargo doesn’t have to install any software.
All they need is a browser, a user name and a
password. Then the user is ready to log into TLNplanner.
The users can access the system from any workplace
or home computer. The employees have worldwide
access because the system is easy to use thanks to the
various options offered by several maps.
Ewals Cargo Care is going to integrate the licenses of
the TLNplanner for their customers and sub-contractors
so that they can use the standard as well.
