I carried it with me on a mission.I will forward it to SFP with a certificate.Thank you for keeping us all in your prayers.Luisa SantiagoSFP ’87Hello There!Today I traveled on a flight mission to Jalalabad. The city was once astrong hold of the Taliban, now its an evolving city full of promisefor the people.Often during my trip today, I remembered the events of this date9/11-this unforgettable day in 2001. The thoughts ran through my mindof that day, and then I snapped myself back to the present and realized how much we must continue to persevere forwardto make a difference in this world and not allow history to ever repeat itself. I was engaged most of the day working withservice members, Army and Marines on legal issues and after a long daymade it back to Bagram safely. It was a bright, sunny warm day, we flewin a UH60 Black Hawk - combat ready, doors open.We had an attack apache escort (which look like mean looking metalbees) and other aircrafts. It was exhilarating and breath-taking to seethe country-side and I had to smile as the children ran out and wavedas they heard the helicopters approaching. Many of us reflected on how lucky we are to be Americans, and thesacrifices that often come with that privilege. Today was a day, toremember the lessons learned from our past and look forward athow we can make a brighter and better future.I was thinking of you all. And look forward to seeing you soon.LuisaCPT Luisa SantiagoCJA, JTF Wings (AVN Bde)Ch, Client Services (Legal Assistance/Claims)Bagram, AfghanistanDSN 318-231-4603
