Carburettors - Factory chassis photos show J2s withbottom fed float chambers and top feed float chambers, butthe Parts List gives only one type, and the Instruction bookillustrates top feed carbs. Was the change made at theprototype stage, or did some production cars have bottomfeed carbs?There are a lot of questions that need to be answered,and we would appreciate if anyone can help. Other questionsthat could do with answers are the Parts List mentions“Tyre Pump” and two “retaining clips”; was this a stirruppump and where did it go? My guess is that it was mountedon the vertical face of the rear shelf just above the proptunnel.
