Anyone?Kind regards,From George EagleHi PhilI have been looking through all the L2 chassis files with aview to collating all the details into the information I have on theL2s.Chassis number L2053 was delivered to Scottish MotorTraction, Edinburgh on 14th August 1933, and was purchasedby W Hall, Dalkieth, Mid Lothian on 16th August.On 23rd September the car was back at the MG for work onthe gear lever which kept slipping out, flooding carbs and ade-coke; labour charges £3-17-1d.Other various problems were listed over the next couple ofyears, and on 24th February 1937 there was correspondencewith a garage in Edinburgh regarding misplaced coring in theblock, the garage sent in the attached sketch by way of illustratio<strong>no</strong>f the problem in number 5 bore. <strong>The</strong> works dispatched anew block and pistons. On 1st March 1937 there was a furtherletter reference the new block (speedo showed 38935 miles).On 25th June 1937 MG wrote to Scottish Motor Traction,Edinburgh, agreeing to replace the block free of charge and aCredit Note for £18-7-4d was attached.
