Thediskgroup Check button is located on the Diskgroup tab of the ASM Home page, as shown inFigure 9-12.Figure 9-12. On this screen, youhave the option to check the diskgroup with or without the repair option, as displayed inFigure 9-13.Figure 9-13. ASM diskgroup checkDiskgroup Attributes<strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>Database</strong> <strong>11</strong>g introduces a new concept called ASM attributes. Attributes provide agranular level of control for DBAs at the diskgroup level. Here are the attributes you can set:• Allocation unit (AU) sizes. Starting in <strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>Database</strong> <strong>11</strong>g, AU can be specified at diskgroupcreation time. The AU can be 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64MB in size.• The compatible.rdbms attribute.• The compatible.asm attribute.• disk_repair_time in units of minute (M) or hour (H).• The redundancy attribute for a specific template.• The stripping attribute for a specific template.
