Mullakoya,the former Secretary ofLakshadweep KalaAcademyhadtransliterated them into thewritten language bybringing timely changesand beautifying theirlanguage and expression.In Kerala theyappeared in Mathrubhumiillustrated Weekly in 1980sand were published asanthologies by two famousbooksellers viz, D.C.Books, Kottayam and StateInstitute of Children’sLiterature, Trivandrum. InTamil, they are publishedby Bharathi Puthakalayamand Akshara Publications,Chennai. It is their secondedition. As a classicallanguage Tamil has gotmore importance. It goes tolarger readers, especiallychildren and the youth. Thestories are out of print inMalayalam. They aretranslated into English byfamous translator Dr.Vasanthi SankaraNarayanan, Chennai andinto Hindi by ProfessorNalini, SrisankaraUniversity, Kalady. Thetranslation in Tamil is doneby Sri Udaya Sankar,Neyveli.All the twentystories throw light into thesocial life of the islanders.They propagate goodnessamong the readers.
