TIL TALKSPOTLIGHTProof Of PromiseOverhauling Cat® Engines for BCCLBharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has been using Cat ®machines since long with extensive product support fromTIPL Dhanbad office. Recently TIPL received an order foroverhauling 8 X 3406 DITA engines from the customerthat was negotiated based on a firmcommitment of repair and delivery. OurDhanbad Product Support team workedclosely with BCCL officials and gainedtheir confidence in our quality repaircapability and infrastructure at TIPLComponent Rebuild Center (CRC),Asansol.The repair job was executed efficientlythrough a seamless coordinationbetween Dhanbad Product Supportteam and CRC technicians. All the 8engines were overhauled and shippedout of CRC within deadline. This wasaccomplished following a robust planand efficient execution of the job by team TIPL. The deliveryand quality of the overhauled engines were appreciatedby the customer and more of such repair jobs are in thepipeline.Work in progress at CRC, AsansolRehab of the D5C Dozer a/c VIL Limited LucknowTIPL and VIL Limited share an enduring relationship whichwas strengthened further when TIPL took up overhaulingof a D5C Dozer at our Sahibabad works in the recent past.This machine purchased by VIL in 2000completed over 18000 hours in operationwhen VIL approached TIPL for a completerehab of the equipment. TIPL engineersinspected the machine and offeredan economic repair option. Followingthe component reusability and rebuildguidelines, our workshop techniciansdecided on recondition or replacement ofthe component to ensure a quality job atlowest cost.On completion, the equipment was testedon load and finally handed over to thecustomer with an extended life. Experiencingthe performance of the repaired Dozer,customer expressed total satisfaction and congratulatedTIPL for supporting its operations.
