Shri Girish KhuranaThe <strong>Meeting</strong> started with a briefing by Mr. Vivek Saxena about thedetailed developments <strong>of</strong> the GIPSA <strong>Meeting</strong>.Mr. Jose Verghese mentioned th<strong>at</strong> since <strong>at</strong> the General Council held <strong>at</strong>Chennai discussions on issues like Check-<strong>of</strong>f, Non-Core etc. could not takeplace in details th<strong>at</strong> is why Mr. Vivek was requested to call a <strong>MC</strong> <strong>Meeting</strong>today. Let us deliber<strong>at</strong>e on these issues.Mr. Vasu said th<strong>at</strong> the issue <strong>of</strong> check-<strong>of</strong>f is hanging for the last eightmonths and now the other three affili<strong>at</strong>e units should decide about theirstand.Mr. Jha said the other three units have been particip<strong>at</strong>ing <strong>at</strong> all theGIPSA meetings as two units are noting coming under 2.3 and the thirdunit is partially but they have been nomin<strong>at</strong>ing some other <strong>of</strong>fice bearer toGIPSA <strong>Meeting</strong>. In fact UIIOA has to to take a call on the issue. Then thesame has been admitted under another bench in Chennai High Court. Our Advoc<strong>at</strong>e moved anapplic<strong>at</strong>ion for its speedy trial but the same was rejected and it is directed th<strong>at</strong> let the case come upin its normal course and hence the case may take some more time and we are not deliber<strong>at</strong>ely holdingup the case.Mr. Vasu informed th<strong>at</strong> GIPSA has already filed the counter but court has not given a stay on theReview petition. Hence we are clear whether the m<strong>at</strong>ter is subjudice or not. On one side GIPSA hasimplemented new Check<strong>of</strong>f rules and on the other side when we wants a discussions , GIPSA says it issubjudiced. Mr. Baskaran informed the house th<strong>at</strong> UIIOA has discussed the m<strong>at</strong>ter with Chairman,GIPSA and told him th<strong>at</strong> we are ready to negoti<strong>at</strong>e the m<strong>at</strong>ter across the table and are ready for jointwithdrawal <strong>of</strong> the case.On the issue <strong>of</strong> GIPSA meeting , Mr. Jha suggested to write a one page crisp letter to respectiveChairmans with a copy to Board Member & Ministry. We shall highlight the fact th<strong>at</strong> we have beencooper<strong>at</strong>ing with GIPSA on all the issues including Check-<strong>of</strong>f.Mr. Jose & Mr. Paroli said th<strong>at</strong> we must launch an agit<strong>at</strong>ion immedi<strong>at</strong>ely to <strong>at</strong>tract the <strong>at</strong>tention <strong>of</strong>Ministry. Mr. Suresh suggested to start working on S<strong>at</strong>urday as a mark <strong>of</strong> protest. The m<strong>at</strong>ter <strong>of</strong>Lunch Hour Demonstr<strong>at</strong>ion, whole/ half day Dharna and 2 hour or full day strike on 31 st March'2011was deliber<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>at</strong> length.
