Throughout <strong>the</strong> course,personal tutorials ensure a balance between<strong>for</strong>mal instruction and individual supervision.How this course is assessedThe assessment is divided between writtenassignments and practical projects. In <strong>the</strong> firststage, both design/media projects and writtentexts are assessed. In <strong>the</strong> second stage, youcomplete a research paper and stage aninterim exhibition. In conclusion, you submita personal project, a reflective critical paperand a publication.FacilitiesAs well as <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> Library withdedicated subject librarians, <strong>the</strong>re is apostgraduate baseroom on campus equippedwith Macs loaded with a wide range ofbusiness and design software. Specialistfashion facilities include:• Industry-standard Gerber Suite <strong>for</strong> fashionpattern cutting• Two expansive fashion workshops• Personal technical assistance.CareersCareer opportunities vary depending on<strong>the</strong> specialism you choose during <strong>the</strong> course.Recent graduates work as: creative patterncutters, design assistants, creative consultants,independent designers, writers, <strong>the</strong>orists,lecturers, marketing executives, promoters,creative directors, production managers,buyers and merchandisers.
