Life atUCA FarnhamThe campusUCA Farnham is the largest of our five campuses with morethan 3,000 art, design, media and communication students.The campus itself is a hub of creativity, offering opportunitiesacross unique and wide-ranging creative arts subjects.The campus boasts: workshops and studios; film andphotography studios; journalism newsrooms; darkroomsand edit suites; the James Hockey & Foyer galleries; anda cinema. UCA Farnham has a purpose-built studentvillage on-site.Postgraduate study is well supported through our UniversityLibrary which houses film, animation and sound effectscollections and a radio recordings archive. A fine art andarchitecture collection of 150,000 slides is complemented byan online collection of 100,000 free-to-use images throughthe Visuals Arts Data Service (VADS) based at UCA Farnham.UCA Farnham is home to the Animation Research Centre,the Crafts Study Centre and the much-acclaimed Centrefor Sustainable Design.Our MA courses are diverse in both critical thinking andconceptual practice and the subjects offered are variedwithin the field of contemporary visual research.The local areaFarnham is a bustling, creative market town steeped inhistory with a fantastic choice of shops, pubs, bars, cafésand restaurants.
