What does CR have to do with Interclub?CR can assist Associations to run Interclub competitions. It can even enable Team Captains to entertheir results directly via the Internet. Points tables and team results can all be viewed on the ConfigureRankings website. Click the Menu in the top left corner and select Competitions List. What about privacy? The only personal details shown on the website are name, association and club. Players may alsorequest that their playing history be blocked from public view. Contact your Association to request thisoption. What if I play for two clubs? You have to nominate a home Association and Club that will be used for your CR code. You can usethe same code even if you play interclub for another club. This is so that all your results contribute toyour grading. What about Doubles matches?CR also calculates Doubles Gradings - based only on results from Doubles and Mixed matches. You do not have to have both a Singles and Doubles grading. It just depends on what competitivetennis you play.Player InactivityPlayers, S9 and above, who have not played for twelve months will be deducted 100 points in Julyeach year to simulate lack of match practice. A player will not be penalized more than two years insuccession. For rare cases, such as players maintaining their level of tennis whilst overseas, clubs mayapply to their Region for a manual adjustment that must be cleared by TNZ.What benefits does CR bring to Tennis?- Encourages and enables more competitive play and provides an incentive for players to improve.- Creates a common interest and boost enthusiasm amongst players- Encourages competitiveness - all matches count towards ranking points providing incentive forplayers to improve and reach their potential- Assists selection of teams – locally, regionally and nationally- Facilitates the running of more tournaments including those for players who are not A graders- Assists qualifying and seeding of players for tournaments- Allows for play anywhere at a level matching abilities- Enables set-up and monitoring of interclub competitions- Reduces mis-matches in interclub competitions - evenly matched teams according to playergrading’s Questions. Please direct any questions to topdog@tennisnz.com012
