To this end, the appliance makes full use of the benefits offered by a DC inverter. Through modulation it matches the compressor output precisely to the prevailing demand and thereby maintains the required temperature. When it comes to modernisation, the split heat pump is ideally suited for efficient dual mode operation. Under these circumstances, the existing system remains in operation to cover peak loads. Quiet operation through variable speed control The modulating operation of the Vitocal 200-S reduces the frequency of system starting and stopping. In addition, the variable speed fans and compressor are significantly less noisy than those that run at constant operation at top speed. Convenient Vitotronic control unit Contractor and system users benefit equally from the easy to operate Vitotronic 200 control unit: The control unit, with users prompts, is structured logically and is easy to follow. The large backlit display offers good contrast, making it easy to read. A help function informs users of the next steps to perform. The graphic interface will also display heating and cooling curves. Additional components from the comprehensive range 2 3 can be easily switched. If required, the programming unit can be installed hard wired on a wall mounting base up to five metres away from the Vitocal 200-S. Extensive service from Viessmann The refrigerant lines are connected to form a circuit on site. Consequently, the legislature specifies that the installation is carried out by qualified personnel only. Heating contractors can acquire the relevant expertise in accordance with the Chemical Safety Ordinance as part of a one week course at Viessmann. Systems can be commissioned by Viessmann's Technical Service department. With design software developed by Viessmann in accordance with VDI 4650, heating contractors can calculate whether public subsidies are available for the relevant system wherever required.
