That is best illustratedby clinical picture of complex partial attackwith vegetative, psychiatric(dysfunction of the sensiblebehavior) and motor symptoms (oral automatism). Theimportance of hippocamp and the surrounding structuresin the electrical activity is best shown with the factthat its damage causes abnormal electrical activity inthe brain- epilepsy.Objective: The goal of this assignment was to explorethe asymmetry of limbic structure on the patients withcomplex partial attacks.Material and Methods: 35 MRI scans of patient withcomplex partial attacks were used as a backgroundmaterial for this study. For the measurement the limbicstructure and their comparison from the right to the leftwe used a program that evaluates the distance in MRIfrom Sarajevo Clinics Center Institute of Radiology.Results: The results show that the smallest number ofpatients with epilepsy have a symmetric (same size) ofthe limbic structure ( amygdaloid complex - 20% Thevalue of Chi-square test is: H i2= 12,6 the level of assurementis p < 0,01 and hippocampal formation - 14,29%The value of Chi-square test is: H i2= 7,225 the level ofassurement is p < 0,05 ) on the left side and the right.Coefficient of asymmetry shows that the asymmetryon the left side more frequent in men( α= - 0,967 i α=- 1,287 for amygdaloid complex ) and (α= - 0,504 i α= -0,027 for hippocampal formation ), while women havethe same distribution on both side (α= + 1,652 i α= -0,212 for amygdaloid complex) and (α= - 0,592 i α= +0,598 for hippocampal formation ).Conclusion:We are free to suggest the performance ofthe continuous, longitudinal, MRI studies with aim ofas better as possible lightening the anatomical functionsthat underlie neuropsychiatry dysfunctions.Key Words: limbic system, hippocampal formation,amygdaloid complex43
