HOW DO I APPLY?
Simply complete the application form within this
prospectus and send it back to us FREEPOST
or apply online at www.stockton.ac.uk. We’ll then
contact you to arrange an interview, which might
be at one of our ‘Fast Forward to your Future’
events, where you get a fun speed interviewing
experience, the chance to chat to staff and
sample college life.
If you want to come into the college to browse
before you make your application, you can visit
one of our Open Events.
Once you have been interviewed and offered
a place, you’ll be invited to our Insight Day in
July 2013 where you will come into the college
for a fun day to meet your new classmates,
chat to your tutors and pick up lots information
and freebies to help you complete your
enrolment smoothly in August before you
start your studies in September 2013.

no obligation to apply as a result – we’re happy
to help.
IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO APPLY
You can make an application at any point in
the year without necessarily committing to
your specific course – although you will need
to make a choice eventually! Once we have
received your application, we will invite you in
for interview where you can ask more questions.
You can also make applications to more than
one college if you wish – but of course, we hope
that you will come to ours next September!
WE’LL SEE YOU BEFORE YOU GET HERE!
Our Liaison staff will be in your school at regular
intervals at assemblies and special events
throughout the year. They will tell you about the
courses we offer, how to apply and answer any
questions you have. Our Student Ambassadors
will sometimes be with our staff too so you will
get a student’s perspective by hearing what they
have to say. Lots of our students also come in for
taster sessions whilst they are still at school which
can really help with making decisions – and it
helps you to get used to college life even more
quickly. If you think this might help you please

THE BIG STUFF
As one of our students, you are expected to act
responsibly and with respect to all of our staff and
your fellow students. This means treating others
fairly, irrespective of race, religion, orientation,
values or disability. If you want to find out all the
details on issues such as safeguarding, disability,
looked-after-children or more, please turn to our
information for parents on pages 19–21.
HOW TO GET HERE
We are located within five minutes’ walk
from Thornaby train station and are an easy
10-minute walk over the bridge to and from
bus stops on Stockton High Street through
the Castlegate Centre. You will need a car park
pass to use our car park but this is another
option for transport.
