IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW SACEStaff worked extremely hard to ensure the successful implementation of the new SACE. Students in Year 10undertook the PLP and Stage 1 began for our Year 11s. Staff were involved in significant professionaldevelopment for the New SACE in all Learning Areas and in preparation for the Research Project. A groupof staff volunteered to undertake the Research Project preparation and conducted an intensive two daycourse for Year 11 students after their Semester 2 examinations to ensure a smooth start for them in 2011.Course selection for senior students in 2011 indicated to us that the New SACE had an impact on a numberof subject offerings and Learning Areas. This has led to a rationalisation of subjects available to studentswithin Learning Areas.RE-VISIONING SEAVIEW HIGH SCHOOLThe Governing Council employed Mr Bill Cossey in Term Three to work with staff, students and parents toreview and reinvigorate the school’s Vision, Priorities and Values.
