Previously: Began racing at 16 and placed seventh in his first-career Mid-<br />
Atlantic Road Racing Series race at Summit Point in a Mazda RX-7. Has competed<br />
in <strong>the</strong> Grand Am Cup series. In 2003, scored five wins (BeaveRun<br />
Mo<strong>to</strong>rsports Complex, Lime Rock Park, VIRginia International Raceway, Road America and Gratt0n<br />
Raceway) and had nine podium finishes in 11 races en route <strong>to</strong> winning <strong>the</strong> inaugural Mazdaspeed<br />
Miata Cup Atlantic Tour Championship. Driving in <strong>the</strong> Spec Miata classes, Herr also won <strong>the</strong> SCCA<br />
American Road Race <strong>of</strong> Championships (ARRC) Championship and <strong>the</strong> SCCA Mid-Atlantic Road<br />
Racing Series Championship (MARRS). In 2004, finished second in SPEED Touring Car Rookie <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> Year standings (25 points behind RoY Dino Crescentini) after posting three <strong>to</strong>p-10 finishes in 10<br />
starts. Best finish was sixth at Lime Rock after starting fifth. Also ran two SPEED GT events with<br />
Tiger Racing, with a 12th-place finish at Mosport a season-high. After joining <strong>the</strong> Techsport team<br />
in <strong>the</strong> middle <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 2005, piloted Air Force Reserve Ford Focus <strong>to</strong> its highest qualifying mark ever<br />
when he <strong>to</strong>ok <strong>the</strong> pole for <strong>the</strong> Denver race, where he finished fourth. Had an additional <strong>to</strong>p-five<br />
showing at Road Atlanta (fifth), and finished 15th in <strong>the</strong> Drivers’ Championship. Also drove in two<br />
GT races, with his best outing coming at Mosport where he finished seventh. In 2006, drove full<br />
SPEED Touring Car season in a STaSIS Audi A4. Earned first-career win at Mid-Ohio and followed it<br />
up with wins at Road America and Mosport. An additional podium at Road Atlanta and a <strong>to</strong>tal <strong>of</strong><br />
seven <strong>to</strong>p-ten finishes propelled him <strong>to</strong> a third place finish in <strong>the</strong> Drivers’ Championship, his highest-ever<br />
points finish. Won <strong>the</strong> opening round <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> SCCA Pro Racing Mazda MX-5 Cup at Mazda<br />
Raceway Laguna Seca in his only appearance. Continued with STaSIS at <strong>the</strong> wheel <strong>of</strong> an Audi A4 in<br />
2007. Earned six <strong>to</strong>p-10 finishes, including a win a Lime Rock Park and runner-up finishes at Mid-<br />
Ohio Sports Car Course and Mosport. Finished sixth in <strong>the</strong> SPEED Touring Car Championship.<br />
Entered Watkins Glen SPEED GT race with Tiger Racing in a Chevrolet Corvette, but did not finish.<br />

Previously: Began racing karts in Brazil in 1989, winning three-straight championships before<br />
entering <strong>the</strong> Brazilian Touring Car Championship in 1992. Won seven races from 1992 through<br />
1995, where he won <strong>the</strong> series championship with four wins. Moved <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> United States in 1996,<br />

race at Pikes Peak en route <strong>to</strong> Rookie <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Year honors and a T2 Drivers’ Championship in his inaugural<br />
campaign. Also posted <strong>the</strong> fastest race lap at Mid-Ohio and won <strong>the</strong> pole at Mosport Park (both<br />
track records). In 1998, finished runner-up in <strong>the</strong> T2 Drivers’ Championship behind teammate<br />
Michael Galati with three wins (Topeka, Lime Rock and Pikes Peak), six <strong>to</strong>tal podiums, three poles<br />

records. In 1999, finished runner-up in SPEED Touring Car with two wins (Trois-Rivieres and Laguna<br />
Seca) and a season-high eight pole positions with RealTime Racing in an Integra. In 2000, won <strong>the</strong><br />
SPEED Touring Car Championship in a RealTime Racing Acura Integra R with three wins. Finished<br />
with eight <strong>to</strong>p-10s and <strong>to</strong>p-fives in nine starts, along with seven podium finishes and five poles. In<br />
2001, Won <strong>the</strong> SPEED Touring Car Championship for <strong>the</strong> second-straight year in a RealTime Racing<br />
Acura Integra R. Earned $80,685 and accepted <strong>the</strong> third <strong>World</strong> Ch<strong>all</strong>enge title <strong>of</strong> his career (<strong>the</strong><br />
o<strong>the</strong>r coming in 1997). The Brazilian finished out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>to</strong>p-five and <strong>to</strong>p-10 only once, recording<br />
four poles (tying Cunningham and Gigliotti for <strong>the</strong> <strong>all</strong>-time career lead) and three wins <strong>to</strong> clinch <strong>the</strong><br />
Championship with 257 points. In 2002, finished second in <strong>the</strong> final SPEED Touring Car point standings,<br />
his sixth <strong>to</strong>p-two finish in <strong>the</strong> series in six years. Drove RealTime Racing Acura Integra R <strong>to</strong><br />

way <strong>to</strong> ending up seventh in <strong>the</strong> SPEED Touring Car Championship. Two wins came at Portland and<br />
Road Atlanta. Set <strong>the</strong> fastest qualifying mark at Laguna Seca before finishing fourth, and recorded<br />
race’s fastest lap during winning run at Portland. 2004 was <strong>the</strong> first time he did not finish ei<strong>the</strong>r first<br />
or second in <strong>the</strong> Championship. Continueing <strong>to</strong> drive an Acura TSX in 2005, led <strong>all</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>World</strong><br />
Ch<strong>all</strong>enge in vic<strong>to</strong>ries with three, which came consecutively at Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio and<br />
Cleveland. Over<strong>all</strong>, t<strong>all</strong>ied six <strong>to</strong>p-five and nine <strong>to</strong>p-10 finishes <strong>to</strong> finish third <strong>the</strong> SPEED Touring Car<br />
Drivers’ Championship. Won 2006 SPEED Touring Car championship driving a RealTime Acura TSX.<br />
