(4) eBusiness(4.1) Accelerator FundETEThe Accelerator Fund was established by Enterprise Ireland to fast-track significant scaleprojects designed to integrate ICTs into business processes. The Accelerator Fund will:• complete ongoing projects and develop case studies and models <strong>of</strong> best practice fordissemination throughout the SME sectorUpdateThe Acceleration Fund funded one hundred and two projects. A total <strong>of</strong> twenty casestudies have been completed and published to date. It is intended that thirty-five indepthcross-sectoral case studies will be completed and published early in 2003. Details<strong>of</strong> these case studies can be found on the Enterprise Ireland’s dedicated eBusinessWebsite http://www.openup.ie/ A book and CD “Practical eBusiness - CompetitiveAdvantage Through IT and eBusiness; A Handbook for Irish Managers" capturing thekey learning points <strong>of</strong> the participating companies was also published by EnterpriseIrelandAn independent Evaluator was appointed in June 2002 to carry out a comprehensiveevaluation <strong>of</strong> the Acceleration fund.
