A common data model for the criminal justice sector will be revisited shortly to reviewits application to the wider justice sector (e.g. immigration & asylum area). Work hasstarted on defining the interfaces for sharing information between systems owned by theCourts Service, the Garda, the Prisons Service and other players. Work is also beingcarried out on the definition <strong>of</strong> a common identifier for the criminal justice sector andthe immigration and asylum sector, in association with REACH. It is intended toprogress each <strong>of</strong> these projects to completion over the next 12 months.(8.2.9) Domestic refuse - Dublin City Council• Pilot online system for payment <strong>of</strong> domestic refuse chargesELGUpdateThe mechanism for allowing customers to log on to a local authority website and make apayment to Dublin City Council by credit or debit card is complete and ready fordeployment. The ability <strong>of</strong> the reachservices.ie site to send coded information on thetransactions to allow Dublin City Council dynamically update relevant backend systemswill be completed before the end <strong>of</strong> 2002.Internal discussions are ongoing in Dublin City Council as to how to proceed. One area<strong>of</strong> concern is the extent to which this represents an improvement <strong>of</strong> service to customers.The ability to pay domestic refuse charges already exists on billpay.ie (linked from theCity Council's website). The Council are considering whether they should proceed withthe development in advance <strong>of</strong> the availability <strong>of</strong> the full Broker.(8.2.10) Private rented dwellings fees - Dublin City Council• Pilot online system for payment <strong>of</strong> private rented dwellings fees by early 2003ELGUpdateStatutory responsibility for the registration <strong>of</strong> private rented accommodation and thecollection <strong>of</strong> registration fees is being transferred from Local Authorities to the newPrivate Rented Tenancies Board in mid 2003. The provision <strong>of</strong> this online service will beexamined following the establishment <strong>of</strong> the Board.(8.2.11) Teagasc Online Analytical Systems• Online information on samples submitted for analysis (soil, silage, blood, water,grass)AF63
