Preferential treatment for GLP members
on Japanese domestic routes
Vietnam Airlines and Japan Airlines have signed a code-share agreement on
several domestic routes in Japan, namely those between Fukuoka and
Miyazaki, Osaka and Sapporo, Osaka and Tokyo, Nagoya and Sapporo,
Osaka and Okinawa, Tokyo and Sapporo. Before, Golden Lotus Plus members
could earn miles when flying on these domestic routes on Japan Airlines
with a condition that the carrier box on ticket indicated VN. As per the new
regulation, from July 1, 2010 GLP members can not earn miles when flying on
these routes. Instead, they can enjoy GLP service benefits such as extra baggage
allowance as per their card tier, check-in at Bussiness class counter
and priority baggage handling.

Vietnam Airlines opens domestic routes Da Nang - Da Lat - Ho Chi Minh City

ietnam Airlines has launched a domestic route connecting Da Nang, Da Lat and Ho Chi Minh City from June
30, 2010 with a frequency of four flights per week using new ATR72 airplanes. Estimated flight time between
Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat, the capital of Lam Dong province, is 50 minutes, between Da Lat and Da Nang
is 80 minutes.
Developing this new multi-hop SkyTeam, aimed at tapping Vietnam Airlines' strength after it has joined SkyTeam, is part
of the target to create more air-links between Da Nang city and major cities in the Central Highlands. For tourists travelling
to central Vietnam, Da Lat is an ideal destination for relaxing, honeymoon. Besides, a large amount of tourists
goes on trips developed by tourist companies in central Vietnam. As for Central Highlands travellers, Da Nang with
beautiful beaches connecting with world heritages is a destination of dream. However, the number of tourists has not
been adequate comparing with the actual potential of the two cities because of a long time travelling by road.
The Da Nang - Da Lat - Ho Chi Minh City route will develop and exchange passengers efficiently, create dynamic and
attractive tours, decrease travelling time and the tour fees. Moreover, this route also helps ease transportation for
people and businessmen as well as goods between the central region and Lam Dong.
To maintain the route in the future, the two provinces will co-operate to hold exhibitions, cultural tourism weeks,
spring festivals, which offer free of charge kiosks for companies to introduce and promote their products, and support
farmtrips in exploring tourist potential in the areas.

hao Li Chinese restaurant, a GLP restaurant partner, has
started offering a-la-carted dinner buffet at 290,000 dong
++/person. Instead of strolling along full trays of food,
sometimes one has to swing to avoid cool food, visitors can simply
take a comfortable and quiet seat and pick food from the
menu.
Daily a-la-carte dinner buffet features more than 70 Chinese dishes
in its menu. From a light dim sum collection and soups to attractive
BBQ dishes such as steamed chicken Hong Kong style, crispy
roasted duck, BBQ pork with honey sauce, BBQ pork chops with
honey sauce ... Besides the restaurant also offers seafood delicacies
