Position: <strong>PASSENGER</strong> <strong>SERVICE</strong> <strong>STAFF</strong><br />

23 - 29 AUG 2011<br />

Passenger service staffs of TIAGS directly welcome passengers, and clear all aviation<br />

procedures for departure and arrival flights at Tan Son Nhat airport.<br />

Passenger service staffs will work officially at TIAGS after graduated from professional<br />

training course as follows:<br />

A. JOB DESCRIPTION<br />

I. DEPARTURE FLIGHT:<br />

+ Receiving and processing all the flight related information: list of passenger, special<br />

information of passengers.<br />

+ Preparing for working instruments and other necessary facilities.<br />

+ Doing check in process at the counter.<br />

+ Checking out the travel documents of passengers.<br />

+ Seating arrangement, deliver boarding pass to passengers.<br />

+ Getting checked baggage handling.<br />

+ Giving direction for the next procedure to passengers.<br />

+ Doing special service for passengers who need assistance<br />

+ Guiding passengers to the aircraft.<br />

+ Controlling the number of passengers on the aircraft.<br />

+ Giving special assistance to passengers to boarding.<br />

+ Completing the procedure and send messages to the concerned airports.


II. ARRIVAL FLIGHT - TRANSIT FLIGHT:<br />

1. ARRIVAL FLIGHT:<br />

+ Receiving and processing all the information of passengers and luggage.<br />

+ Preparing for working instruments and other necessary facilities.<br />

+ Implement the welcome process for passengers from the aircraft to the terminal.<br />

+ Doing Special Service for passengers who need assistance<br />

+ Return luggage to passengers.<br />

2. TRANSIT FLIGHT:<br />

+ Receiving and processing all the information of passengers and luggage.<br />

+ Preparing for working instruments and other necessary facilities.<br />

+ Implementing the welcome process for passengers from the aircraft to the terminal.<br />

+ Implementing transit procedures and giving direction for passengers to the domestic<br />

terminal or to continue other international flight.<br />

+ Doing Special Service for passengers who need assistance<br />

III. LOST AND FOUND AND HANDLING OF EXTRAORDINARY BAGGAGE<br />

CIRCUMSTANCES<br />

+ Receiving and processing all the extraordinary baggage information and massages of<br />

passengers.<br />

+ Receiving extraordinary luggage circumstances such as: lost or damaged by wear, tear<br />

off...<br />

+ Implementing the searching process by world tracer system<br />

+ Return luggage at the airport or take the address of the passenger.<br />

B. NATURE OF WORK<br />

- Employees are frequently exposed to many passengers in domestic and international<br />

terminals as well as other working department at the airport.<br />

- Always working under high pressure to ensure flights are on time.


- The job is organized according to a linked processes and coordination between many<br />

different departments.<br />

- Working time on shift / caps (flight schedules, 24 hours/ day)<br />

- Large working area and travel a lot, often influenced by sudden changes in temperature<br />

and weather (temperature difference between the ramp and the terminal).<br />
