The main strand ofthe story was that the actress involved in orgies are "professional procurers"and that they charge anything from 5000 rupees to 10000 rupees for a night ofsexual orgy.ConsequenceGiven the fact that the paper had ran her naked picture, Shrisha Karkihad to bear with undeniable social ignominy as is natural in Nepalese societygiven its set attitude. She committed suicide a week after the paper hit thestand on October 14, 2002. Naturally her close relatives were on the boil. Thetinsel town was astir too. Women rights activists came forth stridently.
