<strong>Maintenance</strong>To keep the unit operating safelyand efficiently, the manufacturerrecommends that a qualified servicetechnician check the entire systemat least once each year, or morefrequently if conditions warrant it.End user routinemaintenanceSome of the periodic maintenancefunctions for the unit can beundertaken by the end user. Thisincludes replacing (disposable) orcleaning (permanent) air filters,cleaning unit cabinet, cleaning thecondenser coil, and carrying out ageneral unit inspection on a regularbasis.WARNING! Disconnect the powersupply before removing accesspanels to service the unit. Failure todisconnect power before attemptingany servicing can result in severeinjury or death.Air filtersIt is very important for the centralduct system air filters to be keptclean.These should be inspected at leastonce a month when the system is inconstant operation (in newbuildings, the filters should bechecked every week for the first fourweeks).
