DVDs or compact discs, MP3 players, iPods,portable playstations and portable GPSnavigation systemse. firearms and gunsf. pedal cyclesg. parachutes, paragliders and hang-gliders.3. Jewellery and watches: This includes items whichpeople wear or use to decorate themselves or theirclothes. WHAT THE INSURER OFFERS1.Your cover3.Items in pairs and sets2.The insurer will cover you against loss of or damageto items defined as all risks specified or unspecifieditems from any cause that is not listed under thegeneral exclusions of the policy or specific exclusionsof this section.The insurer may decide to repair or replace theitem(s) or pay you out for your loss or damage. Theamount they will pay will be the lesser of the currentcost of replacing the item(s) or the amount as statedin your schedule.If the insurer replaces an item, they are only requiredto supply an item of similar quality and value and notan exact duplicate of the item. Where the insurerrepairs an item, they are only required to makereasonable repairs to restore the item to a similarcondition.Limits that apply to jewelleryIf you claim for loss of or damage to any watch orarticle of jewellery, the insurer will pay you out nomore than R20 000 for each item or pair, unless youprovide a professional valuation for the item or pairby an independent jeweller that is dated less than5 years before the loss or damage occurs.You must keep all items that are worth more thanR50 000 each in a locked safe that is fixed to thebuilding whena. the buildings in which you keep your jewellery orwatches are unoccupiedb. you or any persons covered by this policy arenot actually wearing or carrying the items.If these items are lost or stolen while they are notin a locked safe under the circumstances describedabove, the insurer will not meet any claim you makefor loss or damage.4.5.6.If you lose or damage an item that is part of a pair orset, the insurer will decide whether to cover you bya. restoring, repairing, rebuilding or replacing thelost or damaged item, orb. paying you out a portion of the value in line withthe total value of the pair or set.Proving ownership and valueWhen you lose or damage an item, the insurer mayask you to prove that you own the item and toprove its value by giving them originals or copiesof your purchase receipts or payment or valuationcertificates.Items kept in a bank vaultIf your schedule states that the insurer will coveran item while it is in a bank vault, the full amountof insurance offered under this section applies onlywhile the item is in a safe deposit at a registeredbank.If you temporarily remove the item from the bankvault, and you lose or damage it, the insurer will payonly up to 25% of the value of that item as stated inyour schedule.Reinstatement of specified items after a claimIf you suffer a complete loss of any item that iscovered in your schedule and claim for it, the lost ordamaged item will be deleted from your schedule. Itis then your responsibility to submit a request to theinsurer for cover for any new item which replacesthe deleted item.Territorial limits of coverThis cover is worldwide.7.Executive Policy MUA 29
