Use onlyexact replacement parts in the configuration as specifiedby the manufacturer.O- Refer to Users Instructions, and/or maintenance manualsfor information on use and maintenance of theserespirators.S- Special or critical User’s Instructions and/or specificuse limitations apply. Refer to user instructions beforedonning.CAUTIONS AND LIMITATIONS OF USE FOR CBRNSCBAQ- Use in conjunction with personal protective ensemblesthat provide levels of protection against dermal hazards.R- Some CBRN agents may not present immediateeffects from exposure, but can result in delayedimpairment, illness, or death.T- Direct contact with CBRN agents requires proper handlingof the SCBA after each use and between multipleentries during the same use. Decontaminationand disposal procedures must be followed. If contaminatedwith liquid chemical warfare agents, disposeof the SCBA after decontamination.U- The respirator should not be used beyond 6 hoursafter initial exposure to chemical warfare agents toavoid possibility of agent permeation.S - SPECIAL OR CRITICAL USER’S INSTRUCTIONSApproved for use at temperatures above -25°F. Approvedonly when the compressed-air container is fully chargedwith air meeting the requirements of the Compressed GasAssociation Specification G-7 for quality verification level(grade) D air or equivalent specifications. In fire serviceapplications, MSA recommends breathing air quality inaccordance with NFPA 1989. The cylinder shall meetapplicable DOT specifications.Do not alter this air mask. Altering will void the Intrinsic-Safety rating and may affect the Intrinsic-Safety of thedevice. Misuse or abuse of the heads-up display system(FireHawk M7 HUD), FireHawk M7 Control Module, orFireHawk M7 Power Module or using this equipment in amanner or situation not intended by the manufacturer, mayresult in damage to the FireHawk M7 HUD, FireHawk M7Control Module, or FireHawk M7 Power Module, mayresult in personal injury or death to user or persons dependenton the user. Always inspect the FireHawk M7 HUD fordamage before use. If damage is found, immediatelyremove the device from service. The FireHawk M7 HUD,FireHawk M7 Control Module, and FireHawk M7 PowerModule are approved intrinsically-safe and conform toUL/ANSI 913 for use in Class I, Div. I, Groups C and Dhazardous locations, temperature rating T3.Use the air mask with adequate skin protection whenworn in gases and vapors that poison by skin absorption(for example: hydrocyanic-acid gas). In making renewalsor repairs, parts identical with those furnished by themanufacturer under the pertinent approval shall be maintained.Approval for use against CBRN chemical warfare agentsis maintained only when using approved components andfollowing instructions listed on the NIOSH approval matrix(P/N 10083874)TAL 806 (L) Rev. 3 - 100828582
