Composers are assigned a small ensemble for which they must compose a piece ofmusic within twelve hours, where each ensemble’s size and instrumentation were decided bydrawing first a number and then names from a hat. In the twelve-hour period that followsthe drawing, each composer must produce a fully-notated composition specifically writtenfor their own ensemble. Once the twelve-hour time period has elapsed, the compositions arehanded over to the ensembles, who have twelve hours to practice and prepare thecompositions for performance. At the end of this 24-hour process, a concert will be heldwhere all of the new compositions will be premiered. The StaffSamuel Burt, artistic directorCory Kasprzyk, booking and logistical managerRose Hammer, performance liaisonGeorge Lam, public relationsAndrew Cole, head of promotionsOrganizers EmeritusRob Hamilton, co-founder, original website designerJ.
