Remarks: Arcangeli (1935a) by no means indicated
that he introduced the name Cristarmadillidium
as new; he later (Arcangeli
1936a) proposed the subgenus Cristarmadillidium
for Armadillidium muricatum. Since
this name was already mentioned in the other
paper, the publication date is 1935, not 1936.

a synonym of Cubaris regulus.

Remarks: Vandel (1973b, p.130) mentioned this name in
his paper on Oniscidea from Melanesia, as if already published
elsewhere. The name appears neither in the paper
on Oniscidea from Cuba (Vandel 1973c), nor in any
other publication. Therefore it is a nomen nudum.

Remarks: Described as a subgenus of Trichorhina.

Distribution: Worldwide in subtropical and tropical
regions.
Other species: 93, most of which will not remain
in this genus after thorough examination.
