(1990: 49) <strong>and</strong> KULBICKI et al.(1994: 23); previously described as Etelis oculatus var. lifuensisby FOURMANOIR (1971a: 134–135), <strong>and</strong> reported as Etelisoculatus (non Valenciennes <strong>in</strong> Cuvier & Valenciennes,1828) by FOURMANOIR (1971b: 112). Two forms are known <strong>of</strong>this species, a short-tailed <strong>and</strong> a long-tailed form ( ANDERSON& ALLEN 2001: 2858).
