Iliyya Abi Antoun (BBA ’67, MBA ’69)and Violette Hajjar (BBA ’70) met atAUB in 1963 and married in 1972.Three of their four children, Rola (BS’95), Marwan (CCE ’97), and Tania(MD ’04) are AUBites. Their sonRamzi is studying software engineeringat Carnegie Mellon University.’80) met in 1977 at AUH whenOhaness’s dad was sick and Sossiwas a first year nursing student.They married in 1980 and have twochildren. Ohaness says AUB not onlysupplied him his education but alsodirected him to the “right partner forthe right family.”Ali Khalil (BS ’79, MD ’83) andMona Nabulsi (BS ’79, MS ’05, MD’84) met at AUB. Now their twoboys are studying at the University.Andre Haddad (BS ’89, BBA ’91)and Roula Hawwa (MBA ’94) had achance meeting at the business schoolin 1992. They didn’t see each otheragain until 1999 at reunion. The restis history. Lewis (BA ’70, MA ’73) met atAUB in 1968 as undergraduates.They married in 1969 and willsoon celebrate their 42nd weddinganniversary with their childrenRamsey, Karim, Nabeel, and Leila.Raja Abdallah (BS ’91, MS ‘93, ME‘96) and Lucy Semerjian (BS ’94, MS’00) met at FEA while pursuing theirgraduate degrees. They married in2002, pursued their PhDs in the UK,and now both work at AUB. Theyhave two girls, Larissa and Sophia.Houssam Hasbini (BS ’89) and MahaSoubra (BS ’91) met in a nutritioncourse, FTN 221, during Houssam’slast semester, and they were engagedtwo years later, in 1991. They marriedin 1992 and spent time in Kuwait andBeirut and currently live in Ontario,Canada with their children Kareem(16) and Rami (12).Ahmad A. Zayn (BS ’92) and RaghdaMugharbil (BA ’95) met whenRaghda was a sophomore. She says,“We had many dates on the GreenField and we share so many romanticmemories all around campus.”Ohaness Nersissian (BA ’78) andSossi Doumanian (Nursing DIPLMYoussef Doughan (BS ’89, MS ’92,MS ’06) and Mona Al Hariri (BA ’88)went to elementary school together,but their love blossomed on campus.Married in 1997 they hope their twochildren will enjoy AUB as they did.Farid Michel Al-Khoury (BE ’93, ME’98) and Aida Diab (BE ’93, ME ’97)were classmates at the Faculty ofEngineering and Architecture.
