Annual, InternationalConference(s)More Than 1,400 Attend <strong>SCUP</strong>–43 inMontréal, CanadaThe final tally on attendance to <strong>SCUP</strong>–43 was 1,437,making the Montréal-based annual, internationalconference <strong>and</strong> idea marketplace the fourth largestin <strong>SCUP</strong>’shistory. Thelargest annualconferenceremainsChicago, IL,in 2007 with1,557; thesecond largestwas Boston,MA, in 2001with 1,461, <strong>and</strong>the third largest was Washington, DC in 2006 with 1,452.Following the event, nearly 300 attendees completedan online evaluation <strong>for</strong>m. Ninety-five percent of themreported satisfaction with the event.This was the second <strong>SCUP</strong> annualconference to be held in a conventioncenter instead of a hotel <strong>and</strong> to usebuses. Buses were used in Honoluluat The Campus of the Future jointconference in 2006. <strong>SCUP</strong>–44 <strong>and</strong><strong>SCUP</strong>–45 in Portl<strong>and</strong>, OR, <strong>and</strong>Minneapolis, MN, respectively, alsowill be held in convention centers.
