Plenary Sessions"Jesuit Worldwide Communities"The International Commission on the Apostolateof Jesuit Education (ICAJE) Panel"It is as a worldwide community - and, simultaneously,as a network of local communities - that we seek to serveothers across the world." (G.C. 35, Decree 2, 20)This session was designed to allow us to get to knowone another’s communities through a panel discussion.Without having a better understanding of theglobal network, collaborative efforts will be morechallenging. Brief presentations from each ICAJEmember will include a short report on the state ofJesuit education in each region. Panel members willshare basic statistics, educational strengths, the maineducational challenges, and current projects from theirregion."The Jesuit Mission and Reflectionsfrom General Congregation 35"Healthy Environments forLearning and GrowingThis session will focus on our network widecommitment to ensuring that our Jesuit schoolsaround the world provide safe, healthy and nourishingenvironments for learning and growing.Network InitiativesThese brief presentations will offer examples of globalinitiatives already taking place throughout the Jesuitnetwork, as well as potential future initiatives. Theinitiatives to be featured are as follows:• Ignacianos por Haití• International Baccalaureate• Global Ignatian Advocacy Network• World Union of Jesuit AlumniCuria Secretariats PanelThe Curia Secretariats Panel is composed of foursecretaries leading the following apostolic sectors:Promotion of Faith, Collaboration with Others, SocialJustice and Ecology, and Higher Education.Each secretary will share his perspectives on thechallenges that lie ahead for the Jesuit schools in ourpresent global context and to propose how our schoolleaders can go about meeting those challenges. Thispresentation aims to help the school leadership framethe Colloquium within the broader picture of theSociety's mission today.Each secretary will also share his reflections on GeneralCongregation 35 as it relates to the Jesuit missionin our schools and educational institutions.
