DSTO-GD-0210and parameters can be set by pressing the appropriate button and editing the choicesin the corresponding window that appears. In each case the Save … button needs tobe pressed to save the corresponding set of chosen options, parameters, etc. Finally, the user should set up a MATLAB path pointing to the ISARLAB toolbox so that theapplication can be run from any current directory.ISARLAB has been designed to run on any of the many platforms that MATLABsupports. It has been tested on UNIX systems (SUN SPARCstations and DECstations)and IBM compatible PCs. To work on other platforms minor modifications may needto be made. For example, window sizes may need to be adjusted to suit the oftensmallerscreen displays associated with some PCs or minor code changes may beneeded to accommodate minor MATLAB language aberrations between platforms. The graphical user interface widgets or controls (Section 8.2.2) may also appear andwork slightly differently between platforms.Figure 7: The ISARLAB Setup window.8.2 Using ISARLAB8.2.1 Starting ISARLABStarting ISARLAB involves just two basic steps. The first step is dependent on thecomputer platform you are using and should be done after consulting your MATLABdocumentation if you are unfamiliar with MATLAB. The second step runs ISARLAB.1. At the command line prompt start up MATLAB.2. Within MATLAB type: isarlab3. If desired, change to a working directory that has or will have data andinformation files (Section 8.2.4 explains this further).23
