With the modern design of the MaxiDirect we havesucceeded in combining the mobility of a portablephotometer with the characteristics of a modernlaboratory photometer.This unit covers all the important parameters ofwater analysis, from aluminium to zinc. The highlevel of accuracy of Lovibond ® reagents and theuser-friendly nature of the instrument guaranteerapid and reliable analysis of your water samples.Depending on the application, the unit will operatewith tablet reagents, powder packs, liquid reagentsor tube tests (16 / 13 mm).The MaxiDirect operates with 6 interference filtersand uses long-life LEDs as a light-source. No movingparts are involved.Of course, the MaxiDirect has a memory, in whichup to 1000 data sets can be stored. The infra-redinterface* enables data to be transmitted to acomputer or printer (RS 232 / USB).* available as an option : IRiM (infra-red interface module)N.I.S.T. TraceabilityThe instrument has a factory calibration, whichis related to international standards, which arenot N.I.S.T traceable. The instrument may becalibrated by the user in a "user calibration mode"with N.I.S.T traceable standards.(N.I.S.T. = National Institute of Standards and Technology)New methodsTest methods are regularly updated to suit marketrequirements. You can find software updates fornew methods and additional languages on our websiteat www.tintometer.com.PolynomialsWith the help of an external mathematical program,the corresponding polynomial is createdfrom data pairs (concentration/absorption). Aknown polynomial may also be used. 25 order polynomials(y = A+Bx+Cx 2 +Dx 3 +EX 4 + FX 5 ) can bestored together with user-specific parameters suchas wavelength, measuring range, unit and numberof decimals.ConcentrationThis function can be used to measure 2 to 14known standards. On the basis of the concentrations/absorptionpairs obtained, the photometerwill calculate a linear interpolation between themeasured points. Up to 10 methods can be storedfor further sample measurements.Infra-red data transmission modulThe IRiM (infra-red interface modul) uses moderninfra-red technology to transmit measurementdata from the MaxiDirect photometer to one of 3optional interfaces. These interfaces can be usedto connect to a PC, a USB printer 1) or alternativea serial printer 2) . The interface which is selectedis displayed by an LED function indicator. Theuser can switch between the interfaces using the„Select“ button.The unit is supplied complete with data loggingsoftware providing easy and rapid transfer of datato the PC.
