In addition, it canoptimize multi-axis motionsuch as a raster scan or trac<strong>in</strong>gan ellipse. This methodrequires no external metrologyor signal process<strong>in</strong>g (see p.2-108). DDL uses the position<strong>in</strong>formation from capacitivesensors <strong>in</strong>tegrated <strong>in</strong> the piezomechanics (requires directmetrology) to calculate theoptimum control signal. Aswith preshap<strong>in</strong>g, the result isan improvement <strong>in</strong> l<strong>in</strong>earityand track<strong>in</strong>g accuracy of up to 3orders of magnitude.Fig. 37 a.
