DCT6400 Phase III User GuideINTRODUCTIONCongratulations on receiving a <strong>Mot<strong>or</strong>ola</strong> DCT6400 Series Phase III HighDefinition Advanced DVR Cable Terminal. <strong>Mot<strong>or</strong>ola</strong> has merged theextra<strong>or</strong>dinary features of digital cable – the seemingly endless programmingoptions, interactive program guides, video on demand (VoD), andcommercial free, CD quality music – with the flexibility of a dual tunerdigital video rec<strong>or</strong>der (DVR) and the incredible picture quality and soundof high definition TV (HDTV). HDTV provides up to twice the col<strong>or</strong>resolution and up to six times the sharpness of standard definition TV.The DCT6400 enables a direct digital connection to consumer audio andvideo devices through IEEE-1394 DTV and HDMI interfaces. It containsa hard drive f<strong>or</strong> hours of DVR functionality, including rec<strong>or</strong>ding highdefinition (HD) programs and watch and rec<strong>or</strong>d functionality.This User Guide introduces the basic features, outlines imp<strong>or</strong>tantsafeguards, and provides options f<strong>or</strong> integrating your DCT6400 into yourentertainment system.
